“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity.” Psalm 133:1
“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches.”
These words of Jesus paint a picture of God’s love and protection of us as a body and of the unity that we have in him.
Alone, people may see God in us but our ability to accomplish his work is limited by lack of able bodies. Alone, Jesus can touch one or two lives through me but through a group of those who believe, he can reach many more.
Alone, it is nearly impossible for me to make 32 scarves for a group of deserving women, but with a group it is more than possible — with an added bonus of the variation and diversity of beauty that comes with each creation because each of the creators is unique.
Alone, I am responsible. Together, we bear responsibility.
